edit: -ach scheiße schon der zweite aprilscherz heute. und ich hab innerlich luftsprünge gemacht, das kannst du mir nicht antun =(

hab das album bis jetzt einmal durchgehört. werd es mir wohl noch ein par mal anhören müssen bevor ich ne gute entscheidung treffen kann aber von meinen ersten eindrücken her haut es mich echt vom hocker.

I saw tons of people walking around with those "beer hats" that funnel beer into your mouth as you walk around. It was like Nascar, in Germany, with good bands (who were mostly being ignored) playing through a terrible sound system.

Most people don't seem to give a shit about the music... in fact, the artist people seemed to freak out the most for was Alanis, who was fucking terrible. While Radiohead is playing, people start yelling out "play creep!" and throwing shit on the stage occasionally. The band, naturally, looked really pissed and irritated with the audience and the general setup.

Worst festival I've ever been to, and I've been to plenty bad festivals. When I told a German friend of mine that I was going to Rock Am Ring, he laughed and said "oh no! You're going to one of those stupid things?! I don't care how much you like the bands, that festival is where all the morons get together, get wasted, and act like complete dipshits. The bands hate it, everybody with half a brain hates it... don't go. They're organized and run by mindlessness... assholes... You will have a bad time."

He was right. It was a horrible time. I'm never going to a mainstream-music festival in Germany again... I'm sure playing at one must suck tremendously.

EDIT: Seriously though, they should have just played without the LCD wall and been punk about it. The light show is cool and all, but you can save it for the people who are coming to see your show, not a festival audience.

Kumpel von mir muss pissen, schreit einmal laut und schon bildest sich n kreis von ca 10 m radius. er packt sein ding aus und pisst. ca 20 kameras und handys werden gezückt und beginnen zu blitzen.
