99% of the discussion here is for the expected and very boring headliners... whoever they are... Don't think anyone in this forum is actually exited for SOAD, Blink, 30stm, Slipknot, etc. - Yeah anounce them, fine.

BUT
A lot more exciting would be to have a strong undercard and bands like: Wage War, Bad Omens, Sleep Token, Bleed from whitin, Loathe, Lorna Shore, Code Orange... throw one Crosses here, maybe potential APC and Boom! there you go - best RaRiP line up in a decade no matter the heads.
Do you guys really care about the headliners? Like, really...

Overall it's a bad lineup for me (not a fan of the German bands) but still holds up okay compared to the rest of the rock festivals like GMM, Download, Nova, Copenhell etc.
The Saturday with Muse is amazing but on Friday I have only Spiritbox...

Do you think other cool international acts could join the lineup>?... like - Royal blood, In flames, While she sleeps, Idles etc.

Deftones are definitely possible. I hope for them.
NIN - not so much. I doubt they'll tour Europe for 2 months (Mad Cool is mid July).
Bizkit as you said are not. Too many dates in Germany for 2018.
QOTSA also very possible.It'll be interesting where would they fit this line up considering that they're headlining all dates announced so far.
Kasabian have been so many times at RaR/RiP but again definitely possible. Just like the Hives - they tour during this period and are not in the So/Hu line up.
While she sleeps would be great. Also hoping for them.
Editors - they have both dedicated dates + festival in Germany so probably not.
Looking at other lineups so far - these are the bands that interest me. I don't care about Nightwish, Skunk Anansie or things like that... I feel that the 2nd wave will be very weak for my taste. I hope I'm wrong.
I hope for few surprises like Incubus or bands on the alternative front. Still not counting on it...
Expecting this second wave in the next few days. Just like always - few days before the price increase.

I'm still not convinced but few more names in the line up can change the game for me. I'm a bit afraid that it can sell out as they said in FB that tickets are selling very fast...

I do not understand why they don't announce more bands...

If they extend the lower price period, then what is the point to keep booked artist a secret? It's clear that the last wave of bands sold it's capacity and will not sell more tickets. They need an announcement in order to drive additional ticket sales aka. more people to feel that this is the place to go.
I doubt that this extension was planned in the first place. They either expected to sell out till end Jan or made a calculated decision that price over 200 euro will be deal-beaker to too many.

On the other hand if what they booked by now is not attractive enough it's possible that a new announcement will drive potential festival-goers away. I really hope that this is not the case.

Probably the next announcement will be few days before the price increase.
According to previous years RaR will be sold out by that time and the announcement will only drive tickets sold for RiP. No reason for the organizers to rush with more bands in January.
What we have by now is already very good. Still I hope for 5-6 very good bands (especially that the fest is now 4 days) and not only filler bands to complete the line up.

I'm thinking pretty much the same. We'll see what is going to happen with the next announcements I hope we have something new before the end of the month.

And one last thing: I did not found any info if the price of the tickets is going to increase at some point and if yes... when> I will not attend this years RaR (I did last year and it was great) so I don't have the discount, but seeing that this special offer expires at 16 June probably at this point the total price will go up. (Meanwhile I'll try to find someone with code from RaR that I can use for this fest, hahaha! )

Guys... Is there any confirmation on which the headliners will be? It's clear that SOAD will be headliners and probably The Artze as I know they are really big in Germany. From the announced by now the following is for sure...

SOAD, Tenacious D, Deftones - Saturday
Volbeat - Friday or Saturday
Biffy Clyro - Friday or Saturday
Тhe Artze - more likely Friday as they are on the Highfiled festival (which is on the same dates) and on Friday over there the headline will be Billy Talent.
Bonaparte - Friday
NIN, Seeed - Sunday

I know that Biffy Clyro are not big enough in Germany and probably won't headline but I can't believe that Seeed will be higher than NIN on the bill. Nine Inch nails should definitely take headline slot... even on smaller stage. They've been away for long time and have just a couple of European dates and will attract lots of people. Honestly I don't expect more headliners. Green day, Rammstein or Linkin park as you suggest are not happening.

In Flames are playing 150km next to the festival on 17th August so they are really good guess.

of course it'll be soon. After all the fest is a month from now. There also few more band to be announced with the time plan as well.

On festivals Linkin Park play about 75 min. It was the same last year on Nova Rock.
But don't be fooled by that time. For 75 minutes they don't stop and make about 21 songs which is more than enough.

If you want to see more play-time... go to a dedicated concert. There you'll get 90 min concert but no more than 24 songs.

I would't count Godsmack in the bill.
Their US tour ends in May but they are confirmed to play in Bulgaria for Sofia Rocks Festival along with G'nR on 7th July. Even if they come to Europe... and they haven't for so many years it's more than a month difference bewteen RaR and 7th July... That's of course if the date in Bulgaria is happening at all... Here they already sell tickets for that show but there is noting about it anywhere else.
