The first confirmations really kick some serious ass [addsig]
Bad news: it looks like Sevendust will NOT perform on Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park. Their management released the following statement:
Due to a lack tour support once guaranteed by our previous label, Sevendust has regrettably been forced to cancel its European tour planned for the month of June.
Sevendust is the second band that had to cancel their performance. Last week To My Surprise was also removed from the line-up.[addsig]
Hey ringrockers,
Got a question about the whole Helga thing. I've visited RAR last year and lots of people were screaming HELGAAAA continuously during the weekend Can someone tell me how this started? Who is Helga, how long is this going on etc.? I'm looking for some background information.
In Holland the same thing happened on the Lowlands-festival. Everyone started yelling THEO, because two of his friends lost their friend (called Theo) and started looking for him by screaming his name. Soon thousands of people did the same
Thanks for any info!
Anouk played Pinkpop 1998, 2001 and 2003 (correct me if I'm wrong). She was also confirmed for this years Pinkpop-festival, but cancelled later because she didn't like her place in the timetable (somewhere during the midday on the centerstage).
She broke all the sale records in the Netherlands and Belgium with her 2005-album 'Hotel New York' (over 200.000 sold). One of the highlights this year was on April 29th (Queensday), when she performed in Amsterdam for 280.000 people. She also won this years award for best national singer.
I'm from Holland, and she's probable one of the best female rocksinger we've got now [addsig]
Too bad The Zutons are only playing RiP Anouk is from the Netherlands, she's good![addsig]
That's not so bad, maybe Steve will show up and play [addsig]
Edit: never mind, Slayer will tour the US during RAR

Bad move from Muse. First confirm themselves to the organisation, and cancell a few days later. There are people who bought there tickets because one of the confirmations was Muse.
Anyway, if MLK can replace Muse for Queens Of The Stone Age, I'm happy [addsig]
Tool will play on Friday. We and Opeth on Saturday. [addsig]
Deftones, Korn & Opeth are also confirmed for the Gods Of Metal-festival... (source), so lets say GNR is 99.9% confirmed [addsig]
Confirmed so far:
Rock In Rio (Portugal): 27 May
Gods Of Metal (Italy): Sunday 4 June
Download Festival (UK & Ireland): 9-11 June
Novarock (Austria): 15-17 June
Hmm, I'm going to buy my tickets this week. [addsig]
Hahaha, you've made my day [addsig]
Velvet Revolver has almost finished it's new album, so I don't think Scott Weiland will go back to STP.[addsig]
Guns N Roses is confirmed for Rock In Rio (Lisboa, Portugal) and will play on May 27th.
