Rock am Ring 2012 ist SOLD OUT!

Rock am Ring is the most popular festival in germany with more than 80.000 people attending. From Friday 1st to Sunday 3th June 2012 more than 80 international acts appear at the world famous racetrack Nürburgring in the Eifel mountains.

Tickets include parking and camping as well as a 5 Euro refundable "trash fee".

In 2010 the festival celebrated its 25th anniversary. The festival took place first in 1985 with U2, Joe Cocker and many other artists performing. Find out more about the history of the festival. The 'sister-festival' Rock im Park takes place at the same weekend in Nürnberg.


How to get there

The Nürburgring resides in the eifel mountains about 70km from cologne. If you travel by car the adress is 53520 Nürburg.

Just head towards Köln and then towards Koblenz, they put up signs for the Nürburgring everywhere so you shouldn't miss it.

The closest airports are Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Frankfurt Hahn. From there you can take the train to Koblenz or Ahrbrück where you can catch a festival bus to the Nürburgring.

What about camping?
The campsites officialy open on wednesday before the festival. You usually have to take a 15 to 20 minutes walk to get to festival grounds from the campsites. The campsites open on Wednesday at midday.

What is the Nordschleife?
The Nordschleife (Northern loop) is the historic part of the race track Nürburgring. During the festival the track is used as a campsite where you are allowed to camp next to your car.
