Neutral Milk Hotel Reunite for Tour

Jeff Mangum has teased us with solo shows for long enough. Neutral Milk Hotel are actually, no-bullshit reuniting and heading out on tour in 2013-- 15 years after their last shows together. Only a handful have been announced so far, but apparently there is "more to come," according to the NMH website. Dates below.

As Oasis head towards the 20th anniversary of Definitely Maybe next year, there’s been much talk about a reunion tour and now word reaches Gigslutz from well-trusted music industry insiders that venues across Europe are being booked.
One insider said: “Everyone’s talking about them getting back together now. It’ll be common knowledge soon – they won’t be able to keep it secret for much longer.”

And this week another source told Gigslutz: “It’s so far down the road and venues have already started to be booked across Europe. We’re all just waiting for them to announce it.”

Liam has made no secret of his desire to reform Oasis, since they split in 2009 when there were rumours of guitars being used as axes, and has always left the door open. The recent poor press over Beady Eye’s second offering and the well publicised legal battles to do with his private life, could also mean that a big cash injection would come in rather handy right now.
Noel has always been less open to the idea claiming late last year he wouldn’t reform Oasis “even if all the world’s starving children depended on it”. His recent friendship with Damon Albarn shows however that he can change his mind…

In a move that has sent prog fans around the world into a slathering mass of excitement, Robert Fripp appears to have announced the resurrection of prog legends King Crimson. Today Fripp updated his online diary for 6th September. Fripp writes: ”This is a very different reformation to what has gone before: seven players, four English and three American, with three drummers. The Seven-Headed Beast of Crim is in Go! mode.”

Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell of Slowdive will be reuniting for two special gigs in London later this month.

They will perform together for the first time in almost 10 years at London’s Cecil Sharp House on 23rd and 24th October, tickets are on sale now by clicking here. Rachel will be one of the long-promised “very special guests” at both shows which will see Neil performing songs from across his back catalogue both solo and with a full band. Both shows will also be recorded for a future live album.
