Hab ich jetzt nicht so besonders groß in Erinnerung
Ja, das wirkt auf dem Foto sicher größer als es ist. Also entweder: das wird ein kleines Open Air, oder es wird die Location für eine zweite Bühne. Hab grad auf Maps geschaut, genug Wiesenfläche ist drumrum vorhanden für eine Hauptbühne.

Außer dem Line-up und der Größe? Rock am Ring war am gleichen Wochenende, vergleich mal die Bands. Das eine war Metal, das andere Rock. Am Ring 70.000 auf dem Dynamo 118.000. Laut MTV und Viva, die beide berichtet haben, waren es eher 140.000.
Legendär war der Stau, im Prinzip vom Gelände in Eindhoven bis zur Grenze nach Deutschland. Matsch, die Bands, schaut in die Videos, wieviele Leute da stehen.
Für mich waren einfach etliche Bands da, die ich echt großartig fand und finde.
Und außerdem war es grandios, damit ich Moni nerven kann

Dynamo presents a new festival in Eindhoven
Once the ice skates have been tucked away in the attic, the Kunstijsbaan (Ice Rink) in Eindhoven is getting ready to host a couple thousand headbangers in black shirts. Dynamo is presenting their new festival: ″DYNAMO METAL FEST″ on this legendary location (made famous by another festival) on Saturday July 18th, 2015. The first edition will host 8 bands, with the first names to be announced soon.
Dynamo Metal Fest is meant to be a pure, no-nonsense metal festival: one day, one stage, eight bands and a 15 Euro ticket price at presale. In other words, a festival that will make all metalheads feel at home in an atmosphere created by the loud noise, taste of beer, smell of french fries, and most importantly the fans themselves. Dynamo was already contemplating putting together a festival with just the basic and primary metal needs. ″We ran into the right people at the right time and decided to go ahead and just do it. We didn′t have to think long or hard about the name and the location″; says Sander Waterschoot, project manager at Dynamo.
The main focus of the festival is ′talent′, not just coincidentally one of the Dynamo youth centre′s policy objectives. You′ll see it in the line-up, which holds a place for regional and (inter)national talent as well as established names. But the festival will also give Dynamo′s volunteers and the students of the Metal Factory a chance to develop their talents in various fields such as event management, artist handling, sound/light engineering, PR and catering.
The first bands are expected to be announced in early December and the presale will start in December as well. A ticket will cost 15 euro in advance, or 20 euro at the door.

Na ob man bei dem Preis mit großen Namen rechnen darf? 
Ich lasse mich gern positiv überraschen!
Die veranstalten ansonsten Einzelkonzerte wie Caliban, Funeral For A Friend, Modern Life is War, Suicide Silence, Delain... Wahrscheinlich geht es in die Richtung + paar "Talente"...

Klingt vom Prinzip gut, nur das solche Bands wiederum eher in kleines Clubs funktionieren!
Bei 15€ kann man ja eigentlich nichts falsch machen.

Also für 15 Euro find ich das schon echt heftig. Ich würd wohl allein 15 Euro für Alestorm ausgeben

Tatsächlich an genau der Location vom Dynamo Open Air 1998! Da muss ich eigentlich hin! Das war 1998 mein erstes Festival alleine. Bei Google-Maps sieht es so aus, als sei die Eisbahn inzwischen Überdacht. Aber nebenan sin auch große Freiflächen, wo 98 die Campingplätze und die "Campsite-Stage" waren. Die Main-Stage war damals innerhalb der (noch nicht überdachten) Eisnahn und die Skate-Stage in der Eishockey-Halle.
