AC/DC Coming To Iowa In 2008? - Aug. 6, 2007

Jessica Lowe of Newton, Iowa's Newton Daily News reports: Rock 'n' roll fans were treated to more than five hours of music at the Iowa Speedway Saturday night. POISON, RATT, DOKKEN and GREAT WHITE played to a crowd of about 8,000 people, said Mike Beecher, Iowa Speedway director of media relations.

"We thought it was a nice concert. Every concert we have seems to build, and people seemed to be enjoying themselves," said Beecher.

During the concert, announcers with 95 KGGO told the crowd that AC/DC would be visiting Newton in 2008. Beecher said he could not confirm that announcement.

"The AC/DC was apparently handled by the promoters," said Beecher. "We do not have anything scheduled as of yet."

Wäre verdammt fett. Auch ein ganz heisser Wunsch von mir. Sei es Festival oder Soloshow. Nur leider eine blabbermouth-Geschichte daher bin ich sehr vorsichtig um es ernst zu nehmen.

also auf tour werden sie definitiv kommen. habs auch schon bei uns im radio gehört, das es wohl nächstes jahre echt soweit sein soll....

Bei radio sendern bin ich echt vorsichtig.

Aber die tatsache, das Ac/dc sich noch nicht aufgelöst haben, ist der beweis das es sie noch gibt und das man drüber nachdenkt irgendwann, in irgendeiner form wieder aktiv zu sein.

Wie immer sich das auch äussern mag und wann es soweit ist ... es steht in den sternen.

Aber es wird definitiv vor chinese democracy passieren.[addsig]

Williams admits that he doesn't listen to his own stuff very often, but on hand at the Rock Camp, the bassist did get a new perspective on some of the band's classics. And what's standing out for him lately? "'Down Payment Blues,' 'Live Wire' -- I dig a lot of the old stuff," he says. "It's amazing. We look back on old albums -- look at tracks -- and I don't remember the tracks from the title. But those two songs I would love to play."

Ac/DC wäre das Beste, was dem Rig überhaupt passieren könnte. Ich glaube aber nciht daran...^^

im metal hammer steht, das noch überhaupt kein studiotermin steht....nicht mal ansatzweise!! album kommt 2014 oder so....

Ja, die beziehn sich auf ein interview mit einem manager oder so, der gesagt hat, das es keine tour pläne gibt und er zu 100% sagen kann, das ac/dc weder im studio sind, noch das sie, so wie es ausieht, sich 2008 ins studio begeben werden.

Ein album würde ich also 2008 ausschließen eine tour nicht.

Immerhin is die offizielle Ac/Dc homepage seit nicht alzulanger zeit online.
Sowas würde sich nicht lohnen, wenn man damit kein geld machen kann.[addsig]
