obwohl ich John Bush für den besten Metal Sänger überhaupt halte wäre Corey einerseits schmerzhafter Verlust (wenn auch nur zeitweise) für Slipknot, aber anderenseits ein besseres als der "ale" Joey und somit ein brauchbare Wahl.

Fakt ist: Corey nimmt zur Zeit mit Anthrax deren neues Album auf und zwar als Vollwertiges Bandmitglied, also zumindest nicht von vornherein als Gast. Danach sind ca. 2 Jahre (mit Unterbrechungen) Anthrax-Tour geplant, u.a. auch ausgiebig in Europa.

Die neuen Anthrax sind sich einig, das es der Sache nicht zuträglich wäre, wenn währenddessen irgendwelche StoneSour oder Slipknot Aktivitäten stattfinden würden.

Er macht das eben nicht als Projekt,sondern sit als Vollwertiges Bandmitglied dabei und die nächsten 2 Jahre mit denen unterwegs....ich hätte besser sagen sollen für die nächsten 2 jahre sind slipknot weg vom fenster und ich glaub nicht,dass danach noch was von ihnen kommt.

It has recently been announced that (according to Blabbermouth.net) that Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor may appear on the upcoming album. He apparently has written lyrics for 8 to 9 songs on the album. Talking to with Germany's Rock Hard magazine, Taylor stated -

"It's been bandied about. I'm not saying anything right now because all it's been is just talked about. Obviously, I'm really good friends with those guys. It kind of started as a joke. And then the more we talked about it, the more serious it got. I'm gonna at least help them out. It's kind of a dream come true — ANTHRAX is one of my favorite bands. We're just kind of taking baby steps right now. I know that we worked on about eight or nine songs together that I've written lyrics for, and there was a song that I had actually written for them that I was just gonna give them the music for, and once this kind of happened, I had to turn around and write lyrics for it myself. But there's nothing definite right now. It's one of those things where it's like we're just gonna kind of play it by ear and just see what happens. So there's nothing definite. It's something that we're talking about — it's something that we kind of wanna do. But I'm in two huge bands right now. So it's like I barely get enough time to sleep, let alone do another band. . . I'm gonna be busy, period. I'm just kind of honored that they would even consider me. These are people that I grew up listening to, these are guys that I had the privilege of getting to know on a real basis. To have them look at me and go, 'You know what? We would love to work with you,' it's such a huge compliment. It kind of makes me feel like I've come a long way in my life." But due to the fact that Slipknot are to begin recording for a new album in January it seems unlikely Corey Taylor will have time to become the new vocalist, but may appear on the album in some form.

Wird denen eigentlich noch sonstwo auf der Welt so dermasen hinterhergeheult wie hier?

Kommt mal wieder runter. Hab die Sache erst vor kurzem erfahren und freu mich immernoch riesig! Dann muss man halt n bisschen Geduld haben mit SlipKnoT. Ich finds geil, da Coreys drei Bands (wenns mit Anthrax hinhaut) zu meinen absoluten Lieblingsbands gehören. Dann halt bis 09 auf SlipKnot warten und 08 erstmal ordentlich Alterna-moshen zu Anthrax; beide mit neuen genialen Alben wär doch knorke.
Außerdem ist Corey auch "nur" der Sänger in seinen Bands und er scheint sich bei Anthrax ja zu 90 % nur um die Lyrics zu kümmern. Da sollte es zu schaffen sein in einem Jahr zwei Alben aufzunehmen und besipielsweise zwischen zwei großen SK-Touren ne Festival- oder Herbsttour mit Anthrax einzuscheiben.
In der Zeit könnnte Joey dann schnell en neues Dolls-Album raushauen. Wednesday 13 gut und schön aber als Band sind die geiler.[addsig]

ANTHRAX has abandoned plans to utilize the services of SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor on its next album due to scheduling conflicts with Taylor's other projects. ANTHRAX is said to be currently looking for a new singer to join the fold, although this has not yet been officially confirmed by the band or its management.
